Advanced Service School Course Description - Fall 2009
This course is intended for Raven Distributors with prior experience with Raven Products and those who have previously attended the Basic Service School. ***These Advanced Service Schools are not intended for those with little or no experience. These courses will include hands on time in addition to the classroom instruction. Each attendee will be able to apply what is discussed and then demonstrate this knowledge in a “real” environment.
List of items covered in the class:
- Viper Pro – The new and more advanced features will be covered such as how to set up no-spray zones and boundaries, configuration of the console when using Accuboom and/or Autoboom and troubleshooting techniques in addition to creating reports and working with the wireless functionality and website.
- AccuBoom/AccuRow – System setup and design as related to the Viper Pro and Envizio Pro. The SmartBoom/SmartRow system will also be covered.
- SmarTrax/SmartSteer – A thorough understanding of how the system works. There will be “hands-on” breakout sessions to apply calibration and troubleshooting knowledge.
- GPS – Updating firmware for all types of receivers, understanding of the information shown in the receiver quickstart guides and troubleshooting methods.
- Autoboom – Classroom discussion about Autoboom wiring, hydraulic plumbing, various console programming and troubleshooting methods. Each attendee will then apply what they have learned in the classroom and troubleshoot an Autoboom system for various types of failures.
- CAN – Classroom discussion of how CAN systems work and troubleshooting methods. Each attendee will then assemble a system and verify its performance. They will then troubleshoot the system with various types of problems while applying what they have learned in the classroom. Correct Power and Ground requirements will also be covered.
- Envizio Pro – This training will consist of more “in-depth” setup and operation of the Envizio Pro’s extra capabilities. Installations and cable options will also be discussed for proper setup.
***Each attendee needs to have the knowledge and experience necessary to do a basic setup of each of the systems covered in this training since the more “advanced” features and troubleshooting will be covered.
